  • Perform structural analysis using finite element analysis (FEA) and other tools to ensure the integrity, durability, and safety of aircraft components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamics, propulsion, and avionics, to integrate structural components into the overall aircraft design.
  • Develop and implement innovative structural solutions for subsonic and supersonic aircraft.
  • Ensure structural designs meet all regulatory and safety standards, including FAA, EASA, and military requirements.
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to optimize the fabrication and assembly processes for aircraft structures.
  • Conduct testing and validation of structural designs, including aeroelasticity, static, fatigue, and failure analysis.
  • Document design processes, analysis methods, and results in technical reports and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in aircraft structural design and analysis.
  • Must be a US citizen or a permanent resident.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis tools, including finite element analysis (FEA) software.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft materials, including composites and advanced alloys.
  • Experience with structural testing and validation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (FAA, EASA) and compliance for aircraft structures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with supersonic aircraft structural design and analysis.
  • Familiarity with composite materials and advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with aircraft structural testing and certification processes.
