We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Propulsion Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about innovation and possess a strong background in aircraft propulsion systems, particularly in advanced designs and efficiency improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, analysis, and development of propulsion systems for subsonic and supersonic aircraft.
- Perform detailed performance analysis of engines and propulsion components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamics, structures, and avionics, to integrate propulsion systems into overall aircraft design.
- Conduct engine performance testing and optimization using simulation tools and physical models.
- Research and develop new propulsion technologies with an emphasis on fuel efficiency, emissions reduction, and sustainability.
- Evaluate and implement advancements in propulsion systems, including hybrid-electric and alternative fuel technologies.
- Provide technical expertise in propulsion-related regulatory compliance and safety standards.
- Document findings, processes, and designs in technical reports and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft propulsion design and development.
- Strong understanding of gas turbine engines, jet propulsion, and thermodynamics.
- Proficiency in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and other simulation tools.
- Experience with engine testing and performance analysis.
- Knowledge of advanced propulsion technologies, including hybrid-electric and sustainable fuel solutions.
- Familiarity with FAA, EASA, and other regulatory requirements for propulsion systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in supersonic aircraft propulsion systems.
- Familiarity with alternative fuels, such as hydrogen or biofuels.
- Hands-on experience with propulsion system integration and flight testing.
